Terms of Use
Last updated: [DATE OF PUBLISHING]
These terms are an agreement between you and Koji Studios, a sole proprietorship registered in Hong Kong (business registration no. 41703021), owned by Tsun Wang Ting ("we", "us"). They cover the Ondo app for Mac, your Ondo account, and this website. By using Ondo you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Ondo.
Your account
- You need a Google account to sign in to Ondo. You're responsible for keeping that account secure.
- You must be at least 13, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms.
- One account is for one person. Don't share it or use someone else's.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete my account.
Free, trial and Pro
- Free: Ondo is free to use on one Mac at a time, with the limits shown on our pricing page. If you go over the free limit, for example after Pro ends, extra folders are archived, not deleted.
- Trial: new accounts get a 14-day Pro trial, once per Google account. It ends on its own; you're never charged for it.
- Pro: a one-off purchase that unlocks Pro on your Ondo account, not a subscription. It's linked to your account, so it works on any Mac you sign in on, within the limits on the pricing page.
- We may add, change or remove features over time. We won't take away the core of what you paid for in Pro without offering you a refund.
Buying Pro
- On our website, our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, sales tax, receipts and billing questions, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase.
- In the Mac App Store, Pro is sold by Apple, and Apple's terms apply to the purchase.
- Prices are shown at checkout in your local currency and include any tax Paddle or Apple applies.
Refunds
- Website purchases: see our Refund Policy. Paddle processes refunds.
- App Store purchases: refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't refund App Store purchases ourselves.
- If a purchase is refunded or charged back, Pro is removed from the account.
Your content
Your folders, tasks, notes and time blocks are yours. You give us permission to store, sync and back them up only so Ondo can work for you. We don't claim ownership of them and don't use them for anything else. See our Privacy Policy.
Ondo syncs your data, but it isn't a backup service. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
The Claude connection
Ondo can connect to Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic. Claude is a separate product with its own terms. When you connect it, Claude can read and change your Ondo plans on your Mac. You're responsible for what you ask Claude to do. We aren't responsible for Claude's answers or actions, or for Anthropic's service.
Using Ondo fairly
Please don't:
- copy, resell or redistribute Ondo, or get around the Pro checks or the trial limit,
- reverse engineer the app or our servers, except where the law allows it,
- attack, overload or try to get into our servers or anyone else's account,
- use Ondo for anything illegal.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.
Ownership
Ondo, its design, code and name belong to Koji Studios. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Ondo; they don't transfer any ownership to you. If you bought Ondo from the Mac App Store, Apple's standard licence terms also apply.
Updates and availability
We work to keep Ondo and sync running, but we can't promise they'll always be available or free of bugs. The website version checks for updates and offers them to you; it never installs one silently. If we ever stop running Ondo's sync service, we'll give at least [90] days' notice so you can keep your data.
Disclaimer
Ondo is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including that Ondo will fit a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost data or missed deadlines;
- our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Ondo in the 12 months before the claim, or HK$100 if you haven't paid.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
Ending
You can stop using Ondo and delete your account at any time. We can end these terms if you break them, as described above. The sections on ownership, disclaimer, liability and governing law continue after the terms end.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you on the website or in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Ondo after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute goes to the Hong Kong courts, unless the consumer laws where you live give you the right to bring it locally.
